Learning from Arguments
(hacked up version)
About
This is a hacked up version of Korman (2022). The original PDF version of Korman’s book is available on PhilPapers.
This version is currently unstable. I am using it for the first time in the classroom, and making changes and fixes as I go. If you are interested in adopting this version of Korman’s book for your own classroom, I would recommend that you fork the project and host it yourself. If you make fixes, improvements, or additions, pull requests are always appreciated.
Korman’s book was published “open access” by the PhilPapers Foundation, under a CC BY-NC license. This license allows users to copy and redistribute the material for non-commercial use, in any medium or format, and remix, transform, and build upon the material, so long as they give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made.
Changes have been made. Like the original, they are also made available under a CC BY-NC license. So you are free to copy and redistribute this hacked up version for non-commercial use, in any medium or format, and remix, transform, and build upon the material, so long as you also give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made.
The cover of Korman’s book features a lovely portrait of the philosopher Ruth Barcan Marcus, entitled “Converse Formula,” by the philosopher and artist Renée Jørgensen. You can see the portrait on her Philosophy Portraits page. I (David Sanson) see no reason to think that permission to use this painting is included in the CC BY-NC license that covers the book. So it has been removed from this hacked up version.
