My Erdös-Bacon number is at most 10, if you count appearing together in local broadcasts of high school football, which I do. My Erdös-Bacon-Sabbath number remains undefined.

Double Dactyls

The double dactyl is a highly structured form of biographical doggerel. Peter van Inwagen managed to published five of them in Mind in 2000. I’ve written a few. Here is one about Quine:

Gavagai Gavagai,
Willard Van Orman Quine,
Poked at a part of a
Rabbit that bit.

“Entification of
Undetached rabbit parts
Should be at arm’s length,” he
Said in a snit.

And here is one about Kripke’s “Humphrey Objection” to Lewis:

Too much to bear.

I want my identity
Nonqualitatively;
